From Dordt
School is getting into full swing here at Dordt. I think this is the first semester in my college career that I've looked forward to all of my classes:)
It's strange not seeing your faces around campus. I keep expecting to bump into you in the hallways or the library, and then I remember: they're student teaching! They're practically professional teachers! And I can't wait to join you . . .
Some news in the Perkins household that will affect my own student teaching experience: Dan accepted the offer to attend Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where he'll get his Masters of Environmental Science. So we'll be living in a town half the size of Sioux Center, but we'll be only an hour north of Indianapolis and 20 minutes from a town the size of Sioux Falls. I don't know where I'll be student teaching yet, but apparently there's quite a few small schools in the immediate area. I'm looking forward to answering that question we practiced in Methods, "I'm going to be a farmer - why do I have to read Shakespeare?"
I'm looking forward to hearing stories from your student teaching experience and also receiving some advice for the future. Hope you are all well.

I miss you guys too...it's hard to have to get used to a whole new system, a whole new group of teachers, a whole new group of students. I have to learn over 150 people's names! I find myself wishing I could be a student again (sort of)--it's more comfortable.
